Celebrating Earth Day with SIEPH

Did you know Indonesia is the second-largest producer of geothermal energy in the world—right after the United States?

This morning, we had a meaningful Earth Day discussion with the Society of Indonesian Energy Professionals in Houston (SIEPH) at KJRI Houston.

The program featured four engaging sessions covering: (1) Indonesia’s renewable energy ambitions, (2) youth-led efforts in Indonesia to reduce food waste through food cycling, (3) the growing impacts of global warming on extreme weather events, and (4) practical ways individuals can support global sustainability goals with ESG investing.

We were honored to have insightful panelists including Eniya Listiani Dewi

  1. Director General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation from Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia

  2. Astrid Paramitha from Food Cycle Indonesia

  3. Doctor Edwin Sumargo from Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, and

  4. Ali Dhanji from Raymond James and Amanda Kuhl from Citizens’ Environmental Coalition.

✨ Exciting news: we're planning a SIEPH x IACC collaboration this summer focused on Sustainability—stay tuned for more! Let’s keep the momentum going and do our part to protect the only Earth we’ve got!
