World Chamber of Commerce Texas Celebrates 10 Years of Global Leadership with Strategic Dialogue in Houston

Houston, TX – The World Chamber of Commerce Texas (WCCT.org) marked a decade of fostering international business relations and economic growth by hosting a strategic dialogue with industry leaders on May 21. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including consulate general representatives, chamber of commerce members, IACC and the general public.
Houston Mayor John Whitmire delivered the opening address, acknowledging the city's challenges and highlighting the contributions of its people, institutions, and global partnerships. In honor of WCC's milestone, Mayor Whitmire proclaimed May 21 as "World Chamber of Commerce Day."
The forum featured a panel discussion with representatives from key industries, including:
- Oil & Gas (Exxon): Emphasized Houston's role as the energy capital of the world and the need for responsible management of US energy resources.
- Port of Houston: Discussed infrastructure investments and collaboration with TXDOT to enhance freight mobility.
- Medical (Houston Medical Center): Addressed the integration of Augmented Intelligence (AI) in healthcare and efforts to ease regulations for foreign medical professionals.
- Aerospace (NASA): Highlighted educational outreach programs and partnerships to inspire the next generation.
The event concluded with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony and networking sessions among attendees.
